Mommy’s shoes

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

When Mommy came home, she took off her shoes in the living room. I couldn’t resist. I like playing with shoes, especially if they have high heels.

Squirming for pictures

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

Usually our pictures are taken when we are in the mood. Not this time! We needed a family photo for my applications to pre-nursery school, in case I want to go next year, so we had to get a good shot.  My teeth were bothering me after lunch today, so I was quite squirmy for this photo shoot.  Thanks, Auntie Karin, for being the photographer!

Application photo shoot

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

Mommy needed to get a recent picture of me to include with my pre-nursery school applications. So we did a photo shoot in the Fire Island house. She has to speed dial the schools tomorrow morning!

me in my gliderThe only thing better than watching Maisy is watching Maisy while sitting in the glider.

I like the water spout now

Sunday, July 8th, 2007

I used to be afraid of the water spout that washes the sand off your feet before you go in the house — it makes a scary wooshy noise. But Daddy put my little pool in front of it, and turned the water on just a little so it was dripping. I had a good time playing by it with a bungy cord and my spinny toy.

Ladylike hat

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Mommy thought I looked quite glamorous while I was wearing her hat.

Cat in the house

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

We are now taking our cat James to Fire Island with us, so he doesn’t have to be alone on weekends. I like to find new uses for the bottle washer — combing my hair and dusting. I have also been enjoying my new chair-climbing skills.

Filling Mommy’s shoes

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Sitting on the deck, playing guitar, hanging out with Aunt Kerren & Uncle Herb…it was a cool day.

Happy gliding

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

I can get on and off the glider BY MYSELF now!! I love to sit on it, as you can tell by my happy faces. I even made some kissy faces for your viewing pleasure (see 7211 & 7212)! Mommy loooves to kiss my kissy face. She freaks out when I stand up on the glider — I’ll have to stop doing that.

I am an alien

Monday, June 18th, 2007

When I put this green round block in my mouth, Daddy said I looked like an alien. Mommy didn’t get it. He said it reminded him of the salt-sucker creature on Star Trek, and that it was one of the scariest aliens they ever had on that show. Daddy’s a geek.

Lights on, lights off

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Auntie Karin stopped by to give me a hat.  I love it.  Peek-a-boo!  I LOOOVE to turn the lights on and off with the slider switch.  Lights are the best!  Pictures.

Tanks, shades, and swings…yippee!

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

Tank tops and sunglasses are cool. So is swinging in my baby swing. I’m a little too big for it now – I hope it doesn’t break…

Jellies are passe

Monday, May 14th, 2007

I lost one of my jelly sandals on the train last week. It was getting too small. Time to try out my new sandals and sneakers.

Aunt Kerren’s first time out this season

Strolling to and from Storytime

Mommy has fun dressing me up in my sherbert-colored clothes. We went to Storytime at Borders this morning. I jumped and swayed when Miss Kelly sang.

Scanned pictures from Auntie Karin

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

Auntie Karin took some old-fashioned (non-digital) pictures during the Birthday event a week ago. She gave some to Daddy, and he scanned them in.

kira-kira

Friday, April 6th, 2007

Mommy and I went to Borders, as we often do. When I got out of the stroller, I walked over to one of the shelves and took this book off the shelf. I walked around the bookstore with it, with a big grin on my face. Sometimes, I sat and flipped through the pages. I liked how the pages felt — much better than all those hard board books. Mommy thought that she would get the book for me since I seemed so drawn to it. She tried to swap it with another copy of the same book because it was in slightly better condition, but I didn’t want that one. I wanted THIS one.

Triple birthday

Sunday, April 1st, 2007

We got up early because we had lots of birthdays to celebrate — Daddy, Mommy and Great Grandma had birthdays this week. First, we took the train to Massapequa, where we met Nana, Grandpa, and Auntie Karin. We all drove out to Bayshore to see Great Grandma, who will be 104 years old tomorrow. On the way, I fell asleep in the car seat, and Mommy and Daddy decided to keep driving for an extra 40 minutes so that I could have my nap. When we arrived at Great Grandma’s house, she said “kinehora” and “she’s pretty” when she saw me. She was so happy, and loved taking pictures with all of us. Later, we went back to Massapequa to have an early dinner with Aunt Kerren, Linda, and Linda’s baby Madison. Madison is 3 1/2 months old, and she is a very calm baby. I enjoyed meeting her so much that I said “baby” for the first time.

Shout out to Auntie Karin

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

I was in a great mood today. Must be because I was wearing my Long Beach shirt. Hi Auntie Karin!

All wrapped up

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

We went out a few errands, including to Bed Bath and Beyond. I really don’t like that store, but when I Mommy wears me in the wrap, it’s OK.

Day with Aunt Kerren

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

Aunt Kerren came out to visit, and we all had pizza for lunch. Then Daddy gave me a bath. After my bath, we went out to run some fun errands. It was a little warm outside, and lots of people were walking around, which gave me plenty of interesting things to see. Mommy picked up some more books for me, because I love to read a few times a day.
