Mommy thought I looked quite glamorous while I was wearing her hat.
Ladylike hat
July 7th, 2007Cat in the house
June 30th, 2007We are now taking our cat James to Fire Island with us, so he doesn’t have to be alone on weekends. I like to find new uses for the bottle washer — combing my hair and dusting. I have also been enjoying my new chair-climbing skills.
Filling Mommy’s shoes
June 29th, 2007I like to raid Mommy’s closet sometimes. Here I am trying on her shoes.
Snuggles from Uncle Herb
June 24th, 2007Fire Island weekend with Aunt Kerren & Uncle Herb
June 23rd, 2007Sitting on the deck, playing guitar, hanging out with Aunt Kerren & Uncle Herb…it was a cool day.
Happy gliding
June 22nd, 2007I can get on and off the glider BY MYSELF now!! I love to sit on it, as you can tell by my happy faces. I even made some kissy faces for your viewing pleasure (see 7211 & 7212)! Mommy loooves to kiss my kissy face. She freaks out when I stand up on the glider — I’ll have to stop doing that.
I am an alien
June 18th, 2007When I put this green round block in my mouth, Daddy said I looked like an alien. Mommy didn’t get it. He said it reminded him of the salt-sucker creature on Star Trek, and that it was one of the scariest aliens they ever had on that show. Daddy’s a geek.
Lights on, lights off
May 17th, 2007Auntie Karin stopped by to give me a hat. I love it. Peek-a-boo! I LOOOVE to turn the lights on and off with the slider switch. Lights are the best! Pictures.
Tanks, shades, and swings…yippee!
May 15th, 2007Tank tops and sunglasses are cool. So is swinging in my baby swing. I’m a little too big for it now – I hope it doesn’t break…
Jellies are passe
May 14th, 2007I lost one of my jelly sandals on the train last week. It was getting too small. Time to try out my new sandals and sneakers.
Make a face for the camera
May 13th, 2007Mommy enjoys my great expressions.
Aunt Kerren’s first time out this season
May 12th, 2007Playing with Aunt Kerren and Daddy in the F.I. house. When I want a kiss, I make my kissie face, tee hee hee. Peek-a-boo!
Cheerios and leggings
May 11th, 2007My hair is starting to sprout
May 10th, 2007Well, maybe just a little.
Strolling to and from Storytime
April 25th, 2007Mommy has fun dressing me up in my sherbert-colored clothes. We went to Storytime at Borders this morning. I jumped and swayed when Miss Kelly sang.
Spring hat
April 24th, 2007Having some fun with my new hat. It’s very Springy.
Scanned pictures from Auntie Karin
April 7th, 2007Auntie Karin took some old-fashioned (non-digital) pictures during the Birthday event a week ago. She gave some to Daddy, and he scanned them in.
kira-kira
April 6th, 2007Mommy and I went to Borders, as we often do. When I got out of the stroller, I walked over to one of the shelves and took this book off the shelf. I walked around the bookstore with it, with a big grin on my face. Sometimes, I sat and flipped through the pages. I liked how the pages felt — much better than all those hard board books. Mommy thought that she would get the book for me since I seemed so drawn to it. She tried to swap it with another copy of the same book because it was in slightly better condition, but I didn’t want that one. I wanted THIS one.
Triple birthday
April 1st, 2007We got up early because we had lots of birthdays to celebrate — Daddy, Mommy and Great Grandma had birthdays this week. First, we took the train to Massapequa, where we met Nana, Grandpa, and Auntie Karin. We all drove out to Bayshore to see Great Grandma, who will be 104 years old tomorrow. On the way, I fell asleep in the car seat, and Mommy and Daddy decided to keep driving for an extra 40 minutes so that I could have my nap. When we arrived at Great Grandma’s house, she said “kinehora” and “she’s pretty” when she saw me. She was so happy, and loved taking pictures with all of us. Later, we went back to Massapequa to have an early dinner with Aunt Kerren, Linda, and Linda’s baby Madison. Madison is 3 1/2 months old, and she is a very calm baby. I enjoyed meeting her so much that I said “baby” for the first time.
Shout out to Auntie Karin
March 15th, 2007I was in a great mood today. Must be because I was wearing my Long Beach shirt. Hi Auntie Karin!
All wrapped up
March 11th, 2007We went out a few errands, including to Bed Bath and Beyond. I really don’t like that store, but when I Mommy wears me in the wrap, it’s OK.
Day with Aunt Kerren
March 10th, 2007Aunt Kerren came out to visit, and we all had pizza for lunch. Then Daddy gave me a bath. After my bath, we went out to run some fun errands. It was a little warm outside, and lots of people were walking around, which gave me plenty of interesting things to see. Mommy picked up some more books for me, because I love to read a few times a day.
Birthday party
March 3rd, 2007Nana, Grandpa and Auntie Karin came over to celebrate my first birthday. We had a nice lunch, opened some gifts, and sang songs. We also had an exciting time playing the “YAAAAAAAY!” game. Everyone had lots of fun.
First Birthday
March 1st, 2007I’m one year old today — can you believe it? Many people called to wish me a Happy Birthday — Grandpa & Nana, Nanny Liz, Aunt Kerren, Auntie Karin, and Alina from Germany. Cousin Andrea sent me a funny ecard (my first one!), and Cousin Barbara came to visit.
For today’s outing, Mommy and I went to Barnes & Noble to look at books. While we were there, I got hungry for lunch, so I ate a whole banana plus some creamy formula. After we left, I sacked out in the stroller for 1/2 hour snooze. Daddy came home from work just before my beddy time. We looked at Birthday cards together. The cards were so pretty and fun to read. After a while, I rubbed my eyes, and off to bed I went. Mommy read me The Going To Bed Book, which she reads to me every night, and when she’s finished, we always sing “The End.”
Ahh, bean bag chairs
February 21st, 2007Mommy thought it would be a good idea to get us a couple of bean bag chairs — a big one for Mommy and a little one for me. They arrived yesterday. Here I am lounging out on my new bean bag chair while watching the tube. I get to watch TV when I have teething pain because it helps take my mind off it. Mommy thinks I’m getting a molar soon.
Big Bath Tub
February 17th, 2007Since I can sit up very well now, and I like to kick my feet in the baby tub, Mommy thought it was time for me to take my baths in the big bathtub. It was a lot of fun. Lots of room for me to splash, play and swim around.
Weaning accomplished!
February 11th, 2007Today is a special day. No more nursing for me. I’m ready to stop, and so is Mommy. We feel good about it. Mommy thought I was going to want to take it slow, but I showed her that I was all right to cut down faster. Six weeks is enough time for me to adjust. Mommy really got the hint when I started doing the downward dog pose on her right booby every time she put me there for the past week. I would be bent over while standing on her lap, with my butt sticking up in the air. That was no fun for Mommy! (Although she thought it was kinda funny 🙂 )
Mommy took a picture of the river, because it looked cool with the ice on it. It has been very cold outside for the past few weeks, so we mostly stayed inside.
Baby pals
February 5th, 2007It was cold outside, so Max and Annalise came by to play. We have a playgroup about once a week. Max just had his one year birthday, and he has lots of nice hair! Annalise is five months older than me. She can walk and drink from a straw.
Read me a story
February 3rd, 2007I started to like my books a few weeks ago. Mommy now reads to me every day. Daddy sometimes reads to me, too.
